Why this exists

Better tools don't automatically create better learning.

Most L&D content falls into one of two traps: vendor marketing dressed up as thought leadership, or academic theory that dissolves on contact with a real SME, a real LMS, and a real deadline.

Learning, Upgraded is the newsletter I wanted when I was building a learning function from scratch. Every guide is written from direct field experience — not secondhand research, not vendor briefings. The frameworks here were tested under real conditions: a $500K+ annual budget, 26 people across 3 continents, and the constant pressure to show that learning investments produce measurable behavior change — not just completions.

About This Newsletter

What you'll actually get

Every guide is written from the field — not theory. The frameworks here were built while managing a 26-person global L&D team, running a $500K+ annual budget, and deploying AI tools long before they were trendy.

No sponsored content. No vendor deals. No "10 tips" listicles. Just real systems, tested workflows, and honest takes on what actually changes behavior and shows results. Some tool links are affiliate links — always disclosed.
